Since being elected in the November 2009 by-election, I have had the tremendous honour of representing Cumberland Colchester Musquodoboit Valley in the House of Commons. I remain humbled by the trust and support shown to me by the good people of this riding. I want to continue this important work on your behalf, and that is why I am asking for your support on May 2, 2011.We have achieved much in the 500-plus days since the 2009 by-election. We have secured Federal funding for the Central Nova Civic Centre in Truro; a new waste water treatment facility in Amherst; an expansion to the Springhill prison; upgrades to the Stanfield International Airport; and secured needed repairs to the Advocate Seawall - just to name a few. There is, however, more to be done, and I will continue to fight hard on your behalf to ensure our riding gets our fair share.
